Web27 de mar. de 2015 · The tension between criterion-referenced and norm-referenced assessment is examined in the context of curriculum planning and assessment in outcomes-based approaches to higher education. This paper argues the importance of a criterion-referenced assessment approach once an outcomes-based approach has been adopted. Webnorm based test, a supremum-norm based test or a combination of these, is that a test that is consistent against strictly more alternatives than any of these can be explicitly constructed. In fact, the test we propose is consistent against strictly more alternatives than any test that combines a nite xed number of p-norm based tests. 2 Framework
