In the Calendar options section at the top of the dialog, is the Fiscal Year Starts On option set to July? If so, that is why you see this odd schedule in the Timeline view. Hope this helps. It moves the finish date of the overall project and changes task dates for other tasks. It does not change the date of the task that I marked as 100%, as expected.
