The stock speakers in the rear sounded like they had deeper bass. WebMost car audio equipment is designed to operate into lower impedance loads, 4 ohms or less. Using low impedance (less than 8 ohms) speakers with home audio equipment may well cause the output transistors to fail. It will work but your amp will run hot and work hard. Put two speakers in series! So, basically, dont bother.

The tweeters are very accurate but bright (also solved with dsp). It was an awesome first component set for me. I'd recommend grabbing a set of foam rings, maybe $15, to put around the front of the speaker. Helps mid bass a ton. If you can do a component system, do it.
