However, the switches will be less stable since they lack the extra two pins for stability. Unfortunately, there's no way of modifying a 3-pin switch into a five-pin, but you can easily convert the latter into the former. No prob! I have a solder 60% board at work and a 65% hotswap at home. The 60% has 5 pins and the 65% has 3 pins.
